Represented in 54 countries worldwide, Häagen-Dazs is recognised today as the premium quality producer of ice creams and frozen desserts. Upon its acquisition by Pillsbury in 1983, it broke the mould in the marketing of ice cream, targeting the discerning quality oriented customer.

Häagen-Dazs is the best known international ice cream brand. The strength of this product is that it is made from only natural ingredients, without any artificial colourings, flavourings or stabilizers.

NTDE recognised the phenomenal growth of the brand and in March 1999 acquired the rights to become master franchisee and exclusive distributor in the UAE . It consists of two divisions:  the cafés and the retail distribution network.

Häagen-Dazs has a network of five cafés in the UAE, strategically located in Dubai and Sharjah. Customers can also enjoy a unique range of pastries, homemade cakes and ice cakes. The cafés represent the ‘showroom of the brand’ and allow customers to experience the finest ice cream in a modern, relaxed environment. Several more café’s are scheduled to be opened in the short term.

NTDE’s distribution of Häagen-Dazs covers more than 400 corporate customers with dedicated freezers, including over 50% of the five-star hotel chains in the UAE as well as selected restaurants, coffee shops, hypermarkets and supermarkets.

NTDE maintains an exclusive state-of-the-art cold store to cater to all the needs of the division. The logistics operation includes freezer trucks, a team of technicians to maintain the freezers and a team of merchandisers to promote the product in the market.

Today, Häagen-Dazs in the UAE occupies a healthy share of the market all year round, with strong brand visibility and international standards of service and quality.
