State-of-the-art warehousing and storage facilities combined with fast, effective distribution are the keys to the logistics operation at NTDE.

The company currently has a high security warehouse complex situated close to Dubai International Airport. The 325,000sq.ft. facility has a storage capacity of over 400 containers in 12 separate warehouses and is capable of filling 2,000 orders per day covering the entire United Arab Emirates and Oman.

There are extra storage depots at the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Hamriya Bonded area, Sharjah Port Khalid Free Zone and in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

An average of 180 shipment arrivals each month ensures a continuous flow of new stock to ambient, chilled and frozen food warehouses. Goods are maintained in three different racking systems: drive-in, selective and narrow aisle which rise up to a height of 16 metres, the highest in the Emirates.

A cost-effective and efficient inventory management and stock replenishment system assures prompt attention for every customer and careful handling of orders with 100% accuracy.

The automated order system takes just four hours for delivery to any customer in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. More than 200 credit and cash salesmen use Hand Held Terminals (HHTs) to access more than 11,000 products including frozen food, premium cigars, consumer goods and confectionery. 

More than 250 delivery vehicles leave the warehouse each day. The entire fleet is maintained at NTDE’s own workshop including repair of refrigeration units.

In such harsh climactic conditions that the UAE experiences, freshness of the product is a premium. Repair and maintenance teams are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As a commitment to quality, NTDE works very closely with manufacturers such as Häagen-Dazs to ensure that refrigeration units on vehicles meet their exact standards. Temperature reports are given to each client upon delivery. 

As part of the marketing support services, the warehouse also includes a repacking room for promotions and sales tie-ins. 

The entire distribution network is linked with modern communication equipment ensuring thorough co-ordination and efficiency. Efficient and modern temperature-controlled vehicles guarantee freshness and damage-free delivery of even the most delicate of products.
