NTDE established a specialised pharmaceuticals division, National Trading and Pharmaceutical Establishment (NTPE) in November 2000, with the Ministry of Health approval and a license to manage a full pharmaceutical distribution operation.

NTPE now represents CIPLA Ltd, India’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing company, with a product range of more than 950 medicines from antacids, anti-asthmatics and antibiotics to latest anti-cancer and anti-AIDS antivirals. CIPLA’s products are available in more than 150 countries around the world including the UK, the USA, Germany, Australia, Russia and the Middle East.

CIPLA’s locally distributed products include Betavit AFR Capsules (multi-vitamin with minerals), Lactovita effervescent tablets, Prolyte ORS, Lokal Gold tablets and Dr Smith's range of dietary supplements. More over the counter and ethical products are in process of registration with the Ministry of Health.

NTPE also represents Orbus Medical Technologies, Netherlands, which manufactures coronary stents with the latest in bioengineering technology that are supplied to Cathlabs in the region.

Services provided by NTPE include registration with the Ministry of Health, import, distribution and marketing of pharmaceuticals as well surgical and medical disposables in the UAE.
